AmazonLove this product. Our dog is about 30lbs and gave his best to try and get the food. The clear hood over the holes confused him until he resorted to just lying in front of it and crying. He stoped trying and crying after 2 days. One cat (a very big cat) used it right away, the other cat took 2 days, but learned when I put some roasted chicken (her favorite) in with the food. People who complain about the price, I disagree. You are paying for the convenience of not having cat dishes on other elevated surfaces in your house, and your dog not being obese from all the cat food he eats. It’s not the actual materials that are worth the price, it’s the solution that’s worth it. If you have a dog who is bigger and will flip it over then I’d say you are out of luck, our dog isn’t that kind of dog, so it’s perfect for us
